Watch H1-KEY’s Hwiseo cover Dua Lipa’s ‘Blow Your Mind’

H1-KEY singer Hwiseo recently covered Dua Lipa’s 2016 single ‘Blow Your Mind’ during an appearance on The Seasons.

In a new episode of South Korean music talk show The Seasons, hosted by singer-rapper Zico, the K-pop girl group made an appearance to promote their recent comeback with new mini-album ‘Love or Hate’.

During the episode, Zico asked if Hwiseo could showcase some of her vocals. “To show my vocal colour, I thought of Dua Lipa’s ‘Blow Your Mind (Mwah)’,” the idol shared before breaking into her rendition of the track.

Accompanied by a live band, Hwiseo performed the first verse and chorus of the song as her bandmates swayed to the music. “If you don’t like the way I talk, then why am I on your mind? / If you don’t like the way I rock, then finish your glass of wine,” she sings in the chorus.

Elsewhere in the episode, the girl group also performed their latest single ‘Let It Burn’ as well as an energetic cover of ‘Her’ by Zico’s group Block B.

H1-KEY became the first K-pop girl group to appear on NME’s The Cover last week. Speaking to NME, the quartet discussed their new mini-album ‘Love or Hate’ and the impact they hope to leave on their listeners. “We want our music to be able to live with a person,” said vocalist Riina.

She added: “When you talk to older people, sometimes they mention specific songs that helped them overcome tough times, or that a song reminds them of a certain time in life. That’s what I want.”
