Lil Baby Reveals He's Dropping Two New Albums In 2025, Explains How They Differ

By SAM MOORE

Lil Baby has announced that he’s planning to drop two new albums in 2025 that will showcase two different sides to his artistry.

The Atlanta rapper shared the news while appearing on Lil Yachty‘s A Safe Place podcast, saying: “At first, I was telling people I was going to drop a double album. Now, I’m dropping the WHAM album and Dominique album.”

The Atlanta rapper added that the second album, which is titled after his real name, will “hopefully” arrive in February, shortly after WHAM.

Baby was then asked by his “Sum More” collaborator how the two projects will differ: “I still put some of the songs I was gonna use for Dominique on WHAM ’cause I know my fanbase really want to hear them certain songs. WHAM is more me on some young n-gga shit — fast cars, girls, jewelry, money. You know, the turnt lifestyle.

“And Dominique is more the serious me, more personal. That’s a part of the new journey I’m on. I hate the word vulnerable, but I’m gonna be more open to my fans and my audience.”

WHAM (Who Hard As Me) is set to be released on January 3, Lil Baby announced earlier this week.

He also recently teased that the album will feature an array of high-profile artists.

In a post to his Instagram Stories last month, the 4PF boss could be seen in front of a whiteboard that listed potential song titles and guests.

The rappers listed included Travis ScottFuture21 SavageYoung ThugGloRilla and Rod Wave.

The album also appears to be 15 songs long, with five tracks planned for the deluxe version.

Lil Baby has so far released three warm-up singles ahead of WHAM‘s release: “5AM,”“Insecurities” and “Touchdown.”

However, he previously revealed that the first two will not appear on the album, writing on social media: “Insecurites, 5am going crazzyyy. Crazy party [sic] is … they ain’t even on the album.”

When first announcing the project, Baby said it was made followed the “darkest period” in his life over the last two years.

WHAM and Dominique will serve as the rap star’s fourth and fifth studio albums, respectively, following up 2022’s It’s Only Me which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with over 215,000 first-week units.
