Redman Drops 'Muddy Waters Too' Album Featuring Method Man, Snoop Dogg & More: Stream
Redman has released Muddy Waters Too, the long-anticipated sequel to his classic 1996 album, Muddy Waters.
The project, which arrived on the unorthodox date of Christmas Eve, features a heavyweight roster of special guests including frequent collaborator Method Man, Snoop Dogg and KRS-One.
The mammoth, 32-track album also boasts appearances from fellow ’90s legends such as Queen Latifah, Naughty By Nature, Shaquille O’Neal, Faith Evans, Sheek Louch, Kid Capri and Rah Digga.
Behind the boards, production comes from the likes of Erick Sermon, Rockwilder, Mike & Keys, Rick Rock, Khrysis and Redman himself.
Keeping alive a tradition that dates back to the very beginning of his 30-plus-year career, Muddy Waters Too continues Reggie’s flagship “Soopaman Luva” series with a seventh installment that features Melanie Rutherford.

Redman only announced the release date for the album last week after kickstarting the rollout with the singles “Jersey” and “Don’t Wanna C Me Rich.”
Muddy Waters Too is the New Jersey native’s first full-length effort in almost a decade following 2015’s Mudface, with Redman spending most of the subsequent years focused on acting with roles in Power Book II: Ghost and A Hip Hop Family Christmas.
The rap legend also recently revealed that he wants to make Blackout! 3 with Method Man, but his longtime partner-in-rhyme isn’t quite on the same page.
Sitting down for an interview with Red Bull last month, the dynamic duo discussed their storied careers and what they’d like to do next.
“I want to do a Blackout! 3. Maybe like 12 songs,” Reggie said.
Meth replied: “We are not even focused on no Blackouts! or any of that shit right now. Brother, we are focused on this TV and movie stuff and producing as well. We’ve got to get these stories out there.”
Redman also claimed that he is still making big bank from his hit Christina Aguilera collaboration, “Dirrty.”
“Christina is one of my favorite collabs,” he said of the 2002 single. “I did a song called ‘Let’s Get Dirty’ featuring DJ Kool and she liked that so he made an R&B/pop version of that record.
“So I got on the record and after that, that shit took off. We was everywhere, bro. She brought me on tour, we was overseas. That album [Stripped] was one of her biggest albums.”
He continued: “I got to actually see how a pop artist shakes and moves through this industry and it’s another level than Hip Hop. And plus my publishing check?! Oh my God! I couldn’t believe I got that much money for one verse. It was over $250K, my first check.”
