KATSEYE Replaced at Olivia Rodrigo Festival Following Member’s Injury
KATSEYE have withdrawn from Olivia Rodrigo’s first Daisy Chain Fields festival after Megan Skiendiel suffered an ankle strain while preparing for the group’s tour.
The pop act had been scheduled to appear on the Dandelion Stage at Great Park in Irvine, California, on Saturday, August 29, 2026. With another singer temporarily stepping away to recuperate, Devon Again will now fill their place and perform between 1:05pm and 1:35pm.
The Pinky Up performers announced: "We're so incredibly sorry to share that we are unable to perform at Daisy Chain Fields this Saturday.
"Megan sprained her ankle yesterday during tour rehearsal and after being evaluated by doctors, she has been advised to stay off it and allow it to properly heal so we can be ready for our upcoming tour."
Santigold will now appear from 2:15pm until 2:45pm, occupying the time originally assigned to KATSEYE.
Other artists on the bill include Olivia, Chappell Roan, Doechii, Mitski, Bikini Kill, Garbage and The Breeders. Stevie Nicks, Sarah McLachlan and Karen O will also make special appearances.
The injury comes shortly after Megan discussed her own mental health challenges while two of her bandmates remain on breaks to care for their emotional well-being.
Sophia Laforteza and Manon Bannerman have both stepped away from group activities to concentrate on their health, while Megan explained that attending therapy has made a meaningful difference in her life.
During an interview with PEOPLE, she explained: “I’ve always struggled with mental health and everything in that essence.
“But I think something that’s really helped me are the people that I surround myself with, especially the girls.”
Megan went on to describe the strong sense of acceptance she receives from her fellow members.
She added: “I’m very outgoing, but at the same time, some people can think that could be too much. But these girls never make me feel like I’m being too much.
“So I think the best thing that really helped me was just surrounding myself with the right people.”
She further explained: "That’s the biggest insecurity, people judging me or whatever. But yeah, I think I’ve really learned to know how to surround myself with the right people and people that bring me up and encourage me to bring that side out of me.”
Discussing what she has gained from consistently attending therapy, Megan said: “It’s really nice to be able to talk out feelings rather than holding it in.
“I think that’s the biggest thing I’ve learned.”
Megan previously paused her activities in 2024 because of a back injury, giving her an understanding of what her bandmates experience when they need time away to recover.
Reflecting on that period in the group’s Wild Hearts documentary, which arrived this summer, she recalled: "For me, when I was on hiatus, I was injured with my back, and it was definitely hard being able to see everything that the girls were doing and not being able to be there myself."
