The Cure have revealed plans to release The Show of a Lost World, a concert film that captures every song from their latest album, 2024’s Songs of a Lost World. The film will screen in select theaters around the globe starting December 11 for a limited engagement.
The performance was filmed during an intimate show at London’s Troxy on November 1, 2024, where the band played Songs of a Lost World in its entirety for the very first and only time. Tickets will be available beginning November 20 at 10 a.m. ET through the concert film’s official website.
The newly remastered version of The Show of a Lost World has been recut, remixed, and upgraded to 4K, with a fresh surround sound mix created by The Cure’s Robert Smith. The project is directed by Nick Wickham, who has previously helmed live concert films for Madonna, Rihanna, Beyoncé, and The Cure, among others.
The film presents the full 31-song setlist from that special night. In addition to featuring every track from Songs of a Lost World, the show includes a five-song segment honoring the 45th anniversary of their second album, Seventeen Seconds. It also features timeless favorites from across their nearly five-decade career, including “Boys Don’t Cry,” “In Between Days,” “A Night Like This,” “Disintegration,” “The Walk,” and more.

After a 16-year gap between albums, Songs of a Lost World arrived in fall 2024 as the follow-up to 2008’s 4:13 Dream. The Cure have hinted that their next studio album may come sooner this time. In an updated bio on their official website last month, they shared that “In March 2025 the band went back into Rockfield Studios to record 13 more songs for a follow-up album.” The note also referenced the concert film, which now has an official release date.
The Cure will return to the road next summer for a European and U.K. tour, starting with their headlining performance at Primavera Sound in Barcelona in June.
