Jada Pinkett Smith Cleared After Restraining Order Request Is Dismissed

By TALLIE SPENCER

A request for a restraining order against Jada Pinkett Smith has now been denied. The decision brings a pause to one part of a larger legal situation connected to claims involving the Smith family.

According to TMZ, a judge rejected the filing made by Bilaal Salaam, who had asked for a permanent restraining order that would have required Pinkett Smith to remain at least 100 yards away from him. After reviewing statements from both sides, the court determined that Salaam did not provide enough proof to support the request, leading to the case being dismissed.

Salaam had earlier claimed that he suffered emotional and mental strain due to what he described as harassment and public allegations linked to Pinkett Smith. In court documents, he said the situation caused him stress, embarrassment, and fear for his safety. He also stated that he spent long periods living outside the United States because of concerns tied to the conflict.

The dispute is connected to wider tensions involving public comments and personal accusations surrounding Pinkett Smith and people associated with her husband, Will Smith. Salaam has also filed a separate civil lawsuit seeking 3 million dollars against Pinkett Smith. In that filing, he alleges she approached him at a private event and urged him to stop speaking publicly about matters involving her family. He claims that after he refused, he faced retaliation from individuals within the Smiths’ circle.

As HNHH previously reported, allegedly, Jada "became verbally aggressive. It was alleged that Jada threatened him to stop "telling her personal business," or else he would "end up missing or catch a bullet."

Jada then allegedly "demanded" him to sign a nondisclosure agreement. That civil lawsuit remains active and unresolved, according to court records.

Moreover, the court’s decision on the restraining order serves as a legal victory for Pinkett Smith. Still, the overall dispute is not finished, as the remaining claims are continuing to be handled within the legal system.
