Rihanna’s daughter makes her magazine cover debut

Rihanna’s baby daughter, Rocki Irish Mayers, has officially stepped into the public eye for the first time.

On Tuesday, editors at W magazine revealed The Pop Issue, featuring the Umbrella singer alongside her third child on the cover.

Marking the moment on Instagram, Rihanna shared her excitement and joked that she and her seven month old daughter were now “cover girrrrrlz (sic).”

“Baby Rocki served sumn serious on her first cover! came on set and shut her mama dowwwnn!!!!” the 38 year old wrote.

Rihanna welcomed Rocki with partner A$AP Rocky in September of last year.

The couple are also parents to sons RZA, three, and Riot, two.

In his interview with the magazine, Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, spoke highly of the Barbadian icon, calling her “magic”.

“Philosophically, the way she operates is on another level. She is the most charming and genuine person on Earth,” he said. “Her energy is unmatched one of a kind. I just adore her.”

At the same time, Dior creative director Jonathan Anderson shared that he was behind the custom diaper and headpiece worn by Rocki for the shoot.

“The haute couture diaper is definitely a first for Dior. When Rihanna asks for something, she is already ahead of what is happening. She is thinking outside the box. When she has an idea, I'm always trusting in the process. I trust her implicitly on anything she feels that is right to do,” the fashion designer said.
