DEVO And The B-52s Reveal Big Co-Headlining UK Dates For Summer 2026
DEVO and The B-52s have revealed two huge co-headline shows that will take place in the UK next summer.
Shared today (Friday November 28), the newly announced dates will bring the two New Wave icons together for a show at The O2 in London on June 20, followed by a night at Manchester’s AO Arena on June 21.
Both groups had previously launched what were meant to be their farewell tours over the past several years, only to later decide to continue performing after their appearance together on Saturday Night Live sparked renewed interest from fans.
The two UK dates act as an expansion of their ongoing ‘Cosmic De-Evolution Tour’, which has already taken them across venues throughout the US and Canada. The B-52s will be returning to the UK stage for the first time since 2019, while for DEVO, the performances follow their ‘50 Years of De-Evolution Tour’ in 2023.
Joining the two headline acts for the London and Manchester shows will be Scottish punk favourites The Rezillos, along with fellow New Wave artist Lene Lovich.
Tickets go on sale next Friday (December 5) at 10am GMT. Visit here for tickets and see the new set of dates below.

News of DEVO returning to the UK arrives after the band joined Nick Cave, PJ Harvey and others on the ‘Los Angeles Rising’ wildfire relief benefit compilation album, created to raise funds for those affected by the natural disaster earlier this year.
Just before that, Mark Mothersbaugh, the band’s vocalist, composer and co-founder who also writes for television and film, shared that he earns around one million dollars annually from the twenty second theme song he created for Ridiculousness. Around the same time, DEVO also collaborated with David Byrne to release a previously unheard track titled ‘Empire’.
The song was first written by Byrne and Mothersbaugh for the former Talking Heads frontman’s fifth solo album, 1997’s ‘Feelings’, but it was ultimately left off the final tracklist. A different version of the song later appeared on Byrne’s 2004 album ‘Grown Backwards’.
As for The B-52s, the group launched a Las Vegas residency in 2023 and later announced that the run would be extended into spring 2025.
