Finesse2tymes responds to Bone Thugs-N-Harmony over sample cost

By ZACHARY HORVATH

Finesse2tymes turned his frustration toward Bone Thugs-N-Harmony over the weekend, unleashing a heated response online. The Memphis rapper took issue with what he believed was a steep fee attached to a sample from the Cleveland group’s catalog. As the situation escalated, Bone Thugs member Layzie Bone stepped forward to address the confusion and offer clarification.

Footage shared online on January 23 and picked up by XXL shows Finesse attempting to use the 1997 track “Notorious Thugs.” The song, however, is owned by The Notorious B.I.G and simply features Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Despite that, Finesse claimed he reached out to the group’s label directly. According to him, he was told the clearance would cost $40,000.

In the video, Finesse says, “The label said y'all was trying to charge me $40,000 to clear that sh*t.” He later doubled down in a separate post, writing, “I ain’t gone lie, Im goin on one of yall grill [Bone Thugs-N-Harmony]. Nyga ain’t never extorted me In my life, $15-$25k coo, BITXCH $40k Naw yall gotta see me cuh.”

Layzie Bone eventually responded on behalf of the group, explaining that Finesse needed to go through Bad Boy Records to properly discuss clearing the record.

What appeared to strike a nerve, though, was the final part of Layzie’s message. “Thirdly young man if you want to have longevity in this business like Bone slow down on them drugs and get you a team to help you understand and navigate the business. We grown and too old for drama, check yoself grasshoppers.”

Who Is Finesse2tymes Beefing With?

That comment set Finesse off again. He went on to upload several more videos, venting his anger and taking aim at Layzie’s mention of “longevity” and other remarks.

For now, it remains unclear whether the situation with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony will escalate any further. Based on Layzie’s measured response, it seems likely the exchange will stay one sided.

The same cannot be said for Finesse’s other ongoing disputes. He is currently entangled in multiple feuds, with his most active clash involving Offset. Rumors have circulated that the former Migos rapper was attempting to track down Finesse so they could fight.

Finesse brushed off that claim entirely. “You don't wanna do sht btch as n***. Talking about, 'Where he at?' Acting tough.”

That tension traces back to earlier remarks Finesse made about Offset’s divorce from Cardi B and her rumored involvement with Stefon Diggs. He referred to Diggs as “that n**** that hit Offset's btch.” Offset fired back soon after, saying, “Btch as n*** don't say my name.”
