Halle Bailey Says She Will Make Music With Her Sister Forever
Halle Bailey says she plans to keep making music with her older sister Chloe Bailey "until the end of time".
The sisters first stepped into the industry together as the R&B duo Chloe x Halle, catching the attention of Beyoncé as teenagers before signing to her label.
They went on to release two joint albums, The Kids Are Alright and Ungodly Hour, before eventually choosing to explore their own creative paths, with Halle releasing her first solo single Angel in 2023.
Even though they are both focusing on individual projects right now, the 26 year old says their collaboration is far from over and that they will return to making music together down the line.
"It's actually been really good for us," she told The Independent while reflecting on their time apart professionally. "I do miss living together, being back in our home studio making stuff, but it's also cool when you grow up and live your own lives. I love my sister and I'll make music with her until the end of time. That's my home and where I feel my safest."
Halle, who earned her first solo Grammy nomination for Angel, released her debut album Love?... or Something Like It in October. Alongside her music, she has continued building her acting career, appearing in The Little Mermaid and The Color Purple remakes.
At the same time, Chloe, 27, has been developing her own solo catalog, releasing In Pieces in 2023 and Trouble in Paradise in 2024.
Halle also shared that their mentor Beyoncé continues to play an important role in their lives. Speaking about the experience of having her support, she said, "It makes you feel confident in your ideas because she's acknowledging you... She's a very genuine human being, a nice, soft voice who will give us advice when we need it."
The actress is currently starring in You, Me & Tuscany, which is now showing in cinemas.
