Singer songwriter Alex Warren recently joined Fleur East on the Hits Radio Breakfast Show to talk about the announcement of his forthcoming album Wild Child and his brand new single, "Passenger." During the conversation, the chart topping artist behind "Ordinary" reflected on some of the most meaningful moments of his career and shared the personal experiences that continue to shape his songwriting.

Speaking about his biggest achievements, Warren admitted that he has already experienced the one moment he always dreamed of. "I did it already. I played with Ed, that was it," Warren stated. "I'm not even kidding guys. Like I'm Ed's biggest fan. That beautiful like ginge of the world is Ed Sheeran. And I would argue one of the best ginges in the world. Top 2. I played with him. We played Ordinary and it was the coolest moment in my life. I'm not even kidding. I never expected to be half of where we are right now. If it all goes down crashing, I don't care."

The interview later moved into more emotional territory as Warren discussed the songs featured on Wild Child. He revealed that one track in particular still affects him so deeply that he cannot bring himself to perform it during his live shows. "There's a song called I Miss You More. And that to me is really, really difficult for me to listen to," Warren explained. "I don't even play it live because it's so difficult to sing emotionally."

Warren then shared the deeply personal story behind the song, explaining how it was inspired by a visit to his father's gravesite. The singer said he has a tradition of playing newly written songs for his parents there, and this particular experience became especially emotional. "When we wrote it, I went to my dad's grave and I played it for, I play my songs when I write them for my parents. I go to their grave and play it. And I just think it's like a beautiful moment. And I just, I bawled my eyes out.

And what had happened was my dad knew he was dying and he was writing me a letter and he wrote me and all my siblings letters saying goodbye... And I had never read the letter. And so I went to his grave and I read the letter and we wrote this song and it was just this beautiful, emotional, really hard record to write."
