SEVENTEEN unit CxM unveil energetic video medley from debut EP Hype Vibes

With only a few days left before the official release, SEVENTEEN’s spin-off duo CxM, made up of members S.COUPS and MINGYU, gave fans an early taste of their debut mini album HYPE VIBES on Monday morning (Sept. 22). The preview of the six-track project, arriving Friday (Sept. 29), came in the form of a three-minute video medley showing clips from each of the songs.
The lively sampler begins with “Fiesta,” a hip-hop track layered with a playful flute loop, where the two set out on a road trip and celebrate on the beach with friends. It then transitions into “5, 4, 3 (Pretty Woman)” featuring Lay Bankz, a groovy pop-disco cut with a Chic-inspired bounce that cleverly weaves in the chorus from Roy Orbison’s 1964 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 classic “Oh, Pretty Woman.”
The spotlight then moves to “Worth It,” a slick Korean-English pop anthem with a Bieber-like energy, followed by “For You,” a lighthearted track soundtracking scenes of the pair jogging, cooking, playing corn hole, and enjoying the beach alongside a sweet puppy. The medley closes with the cinematic ballad “Young Again,” matched with shots of the duo diving off a yacht, surfing, and reflecting on the fleeting nature of youth, before ending with “Earth,” a restless EDM tune full of glitchy vocals and strobing visuals.
S.COUPS and MINGYU are credited as writers and composers on all six songs, showing their direct involvement in shaping the sound of their debut. Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN as a whole group — which also includes JEONGHAN, JOSHUA, JUN, HOSHI, WONWOO, WOOZI, THE 8, DK, SEUNGKWAN, VERNON, and DINO — is preparing to bring their SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] IN U.S. to American fans next month. The nine-date run begins Oct. 11 at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington, with stops in Los Angeles, Austin, Sunrise, and two shows at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 29-30.
