The 20 year old rising artist took the stage at the Outdoor Theatre on Saturday (April 18), where he delivered his take on the Radiohead favourite. He also performed a duet of Idol’s 1984 hit ‘Eyes Without A Face’, with Idol’s longtime guitarist Steve Stevens joining them live.

The moment followed his unexpected collaboration the previous weekend, when Sombr teamed up with The Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan during the festival’s first weekend in California to perform ‘1979’.

Sombr has been building a reputation for sharing the stage with legendary artists. Just last month in Dublin, he performed alongside The Cranberries for a rendition of ‘Linger’.

In other news, Sombr recently spoke with NME while attending the red carpet at the 2026 BRIT Awards. During the conversation, he expressed his admiration for UK music and said he believes Britain stands above the US when it comes to creating “iconic acts”.

When asked why the UK feels like such a natural fit for him, he explained that artists like “The Beatles, the Stones, David Bowie, and Elton John” had a major influence on him. He also mentioned Manchester acts including The Stone Roses, The Verve and Oasis as key inspirations.

“The list goes on,” he said, adding that during the live show he planned to walk around and “try to introduce myself” to some of the artists he looks up to.

“I just love it here,” he continued. “It’s the music that comes from the UK [that clicks with me]. In my opinion, I love America, but I think acts from the UK just beat them, in terms of iconic acts”.
