G Flip Celebrates “Dream Come True” Moment After Off Campus Campaign
G Flip shared their excitement after seeing their song Bed on Fire featured in Off Campus, saying the opportunity has helped turn their long held ambitions into reality.
The Australian musician took to social media to thank fans and the creators of the popular Amazon Prime series for including the track in the show's soundtrack.
Based on Elle Kennedy's bestselling college hockey romance books, Off Campus has become one of the streaming platform's biggest launches to date. The series attracted 36 million viewers within its first 12 days, making it the third most successful debut in Amazon Prime history.
The show's massive audience quickly translated into a surge of attention for 32 year old G Flip, born Georgia Claire Flipo, as viewers began searching online for Bed on Fire after hearing it in the series.
"My streams are through the roof, my managers phones are ringing, my calendars filling up & my dreams are coming true," the non binary artist told followers on TikTok.
"OFF CAMPUS I'm forever grateful."
Speaking to Rolling Stone, G Flip said they were stunned by the worldwide impact the show has had on their music career, describing the response as far beyond anything they expected.
"I've never had this much of a boom in my career so far. The graphs are off the charts," G Flip told the publication.
"I just woke up on a normal Tuesday or whatever, and I didn't know any of this was going to happen."
In the same TikTok video, the singer also expressed excitement about the already announced second season of the hit drama.
"I honestly can't wait to see what artists get this boost next season," they said.
