Eric Clapton confirms Ronnie Wood as special guest for Sandringham 2026
The line up of special guests set to join Eric Clapton at his major Sandringham concert this summer has now been confirmed, with Ronnie Wood among those taking part in the show.
The concert was originally revealed back in November and marked the first show announced for the 2026 Sandringham Estate concert series. The open air run will begin on August 20 and span three days, with Clapton scheduled to take the stage on Sunday August 23.
Organisers have now shared the names of three artists who will support the legendary guitarist and former Cream member, including Ronnie Wood, who is set to deliver a rare solo performance at the expansive outdoor venue.
The appearance follows Wood’s long running solo career, which he has continued alongside his work with Faces, The Jeff Beck Group and The Rolling Stones. He released his first solo record ‘I’ve Got My Own Album to Do’ in 1974 and has gone on to release further material over the years, combining elements of rock, blues and boogie.
Wood’s slot at Sandringham offers fans an uncommon chance to see him perform on his own, following decades spent collaborating with artists such as Bob Dylan, David Bowie and Aretha Franklin, as well as earning induction into the Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame on two separate occasions.

Also confirmed for the bill is Andy Fairweather Low, who first found fame in the 1960s as the frontman of Amen Corner. The group became known for hit singles including ‘Bend Me Shape Me’, ‘Hello Suzy’ and ‘(If Paradise Is) Half as Nice’.
Across his career, Fairweather Low has collaborated with an extensive list of artists, among them Clapton, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Elton John, The Who, BB King, Mary J. Blige and Kate Bush.
In his solo career, Fairweather Low has released ten albums, with his most recent being ‘The Invisible Bluesman’. Issued in 2025, the record debuted at Number One on the Official UK Jazz & Blues Albums Chart.
Rounding out the line up is singer and harmonica player Will Wylde, who won the HRH ‘Lords Of Blues’ award in 2025 and has previously received nominations for “Instrumentalist of the Year” and “Contemporary Blues Artist of the Year” at the UK Blues Awards.
Wylde released his latest album ‘Blues Is Still Alive’ last year, with the record reaching the top spot on the Independent Blues Broadcasters Association Chart and peaking at Number Five on the Official UK Jazz & Blues Album Chart.
Tickets for the upcoming Sandringham date are available now and can be accessed here.
The Sandringham show follows Clapton’s US headline tour last year, which celebrated his most recent album ‘Meanwhile’. Released in 2025, the record marked his 22nd studio album and featured guest appearances from Jeff Beck, Van Morrison, Bradley Walker, Judith Hill, Daniel Santiago and Simon Climie.
Ahead of the tour launch in September, MTV revealed plans for a feature length documentary focused on the former Yardbird, titled Eric Clapton Unplugged… Over 30 Years Later.
The three time Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame inductee also appeared alongside Shania Twain in Spinal Tap’s supposed final concert film, Stone Henge: The Final Finale.
Meanwhile, Ronnie Wood has recently reflected on how Jeff Beck encouraged him to switch to bass guitar, and recalled earning the admiration of Jimi Hendrix during the 1960s. It was also announced last year that The Rolling Stones have cancelled plans for a UK and European stadium tour in 2026, after Keith Richards was unable to commit to the schedule.
