DJ Snake and Don Toliver release late summer anthem "Something Wrong"

For most listeners, the general opinion is that 2025 still has not produced a true summer anthem. With fall beginning on September 22, there is little time left for artists to fill that gap. If one does arrive, the window to enjoy it is already closing quickly.

That has not stopped French producer DJ Snake and Don Toliver from putting their own contender on the table. Their first collaboration together, “Something Wrong,” blends airy synths, playful bass, and a touch of sultry drill.
Drill often gets criticized in the hip-hop world for being too repetitive, but here it stays balanced. Don Toliver proves to be a perfect fit for this type of vibrant production. The track even brings back memories of “Too Many Nights,” which is definitely a compliment.
Lyrically, “Something Wrong” follows a fairly straightforward theme, describing a relationship based on casual encounters. Still, Toliver finds the right rhythm and delivers his vocals with ease. DJ Snake clearly chose the right partner for this record.
The single is part of DJ Snake’s upcoming third album Nomad, set to arrive September 26. Confirmed tracks include “Noventa” with J Balvin, “Reloaded,” “Patience,” and “Paradise.” Give “Something Wrong” a listen below and decide if it deserves the crown as 2025’s summer hit.

Quotable Lyrics:
I been waitin' on you to make the call
Last time that we talked, we didn't get to talk
We forget our feelings off that alcohol
We f*ck like nothing's wrong (Yeah)
We stay on a high, we always meant to fall (Meant to fall)
Siamese with your body, we inseparable ('Separable)
